LOVE…Fulfilling of the Law By: Evangelist Adekunle Emmanuel Oke LOVE…Fulfilling of the Law is an expository study on practical love. The book teaches what love is, the qualities and characteristics of love. It enables us to understand the love of God to man, love of man to God and love among men in their communities and their societies. “Love is the first and the greatest Law. Jesus said unto him, thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (Matt. 22:37-40). Love works no ill to his neighbors: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10). The above passages and many others are the mind of God in love; also this book. Love is very important for a heavenly minded Christian! Heaven is the greatest inheritance of a Christian. Every heavenly minded and focused Christian is advised to have a copy of this book. James 2:20: “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without work is dead also. One cannot make heaven by force or by self-conviction; it all depends on your works through grace, no work-done without love. Hence heaven cannot be real without love.”

Richmond, Virginia, is the heart of the Confederacy, and for those whose hearts are still with the Union in 1861, it is a trying home. Li8za Van Lew has long been an outsider in Richmond. She never married, and at her father's death, she gave all of her family's slaves their freedom. Her neighbors and friends have begun to believe that she might be losing her mind. But the Rebels don't rust her, and with good reason. Behind a mask of mental frailty and innocence, she has secretly organized and is operating a hugely successful spy ring out of Richmond. The Confederate Army has its suspicions, though they can't ever seem to catch her in the act. But as the war wears on, the danger of being caught grows with each bit of information passed along, with her every secret act of patriotism. The double life of lady and spy wears on Liza. Until the war is over, the secrecy that endangers her and those she has recruited to spy for her will never end. She doesn't know how much longer she can endure, wondering if the next knock on her door might bring soldiers to carry her off to prison. . . . Richmond, Virginia. The capital of the Confederacy. Here lived one of the greatest threats to the Confederate war efforts. In an unremarkable house on Church Street, Elizabeth Van Lew, a spinster thought to be unconventional, was the center of the Union Army's underground spy network. For the duration of the Civil War, she worked with innumerable agents throughout the city-even in Jefferson Davis's own house!-keeping in constant communication with the Union military command. This is her story. Told by her ghost in a narrative that captures with utter poignancy the contradictions of the Southern ideal and the heartbreak of civil war, Only Call Us Faithful is a remarkable story of courage and conviction, the untold tale of thousands of Southerners who during the Civil War were United Stales patriots in enemy territory. Also dedicated to easing the plight of Union Army prisoners of war incarcerated in Richmond prisons, Miss Van Lew risked life and limb to bring prisoners food and medicine. But though the Confederate leadership in Richmond thought her annoying and inconvenient, they never caught her passing secret information that led directly to Union victories on the fields of battle. To the very end she was invisible, a lady alone, fighting a shadow war that ultimately helped topple the confederacy. An Uncommon hero, her true role has never been fully revealed until now. Using many primary information sources, Marie Jakober has painted a true and vivid portrait of one of the Civil War's most unusual heroes. It is the thirty-third century, and mankind has begun to colonise the solar system. With the development of cold fusion, he has even spread beyond the planets around Sol and reached the Star Proxima, although not without any unforeseen problems and setbacks. Yet though man has advanced technologically, he is still the same marred creature that he ever was. Conflict exists between different sovereignties, competitive companies, and the ever-present battle of the sexes. Though he has come so far since ancient times, he is still essentially capable of making the errors that he always did, but in new and fantastic ways and with new and ever more advanced devices. Then there is the problem of the androids and of course the Biotron! Here are twelve glimpses into the possible future created by one writers twisted imagination.

In writing my book I tried, to the best of my memory (and with the help of a lot of people), to relate and have a true story about the things that we did as children and adults about growing up and living in a small town in Alabama. Even though times were hard then, I feel very fortunate to have grown up during that time and in that place. I believe that my life has been guided and protected by a Higher Being and I thank God for looking after me and guiding my life. I also had some great teachers which I am thankful for knowing. Most of our teachers loved us and tried to help, when they could, to prepare for our future. All this gave me confidence to go into adult life and knew that I had my future in my hand and could make my life and that I alone am responsible for my actions. I believe that growing up in Roanoke gave me the knowledge and background to have a great life, for which I am thankful, and I hope for many more good years.

An unforgettable story about the triumphs and travails of a woman unwilling to play by the rules, based on the the remarkable life of pioneering feminist and abolitionist Lucy Stone. Born on a farm in 1818, Lucy Stone dreamt of extraordinary things for a girl of her time, like continuing her education beyond the eighth grade and working for the abolitionist cause, and of ordinary things, such as raising a family of her own. But when she learns that the Constitution affords no rights to married women, she declares that she will never marry and dedicates her life to fighting for change. At a time when it is considered promiscuous for women to speak in public, Lucy risks everything for the anti-slavery movement, her powerful oratory mesmerizing even her most ardent detractors as she rapidly becomes a household name. And when she begins to lecture on the “woman question,” she inspires a young Susan B. Anthony to join the movement. But life as a crusader is a lonely one. When Henry Blackwell, a dashing and forward-thinking man, proposes a marriage of equals, Lucy must reconcile her desire for love and children with her public persona and the legal perils of marriage she has long railed against. And when a wrenching controversy pits Stone and Anthony against each other, Lucy makes a decision that will impact her legacy forever. Based on true events, Leaving Coy’s Hill is a timeless story of women’s quest for personal and professional fulfillment within society’s stubborn constraints. And as an abolitionist and women’s rights activist fighting for the future of a deeply divided country, Lucy Stone’s quest to live a life on her own terms is as relevant as ever. In this “propulsive,” “astonishing,” and “powerful” story, Katherine Sherbrooke brings to life a true American heroine for a new generation.

An ageing population is burdening social and healthcare services around the world, and this problem is likely to get worse as the percentage of older people continues to rise. Many governments are already responding to this challenge, and a key element in their strategies is the development and deployment of computer-based telecare and telehealth technologies to support care at home in a cost-effective manner. Human involvement in care continues to be central, but home care technologies can offer reassurance, and support routine aspects, to the benefit of all concerned. This book provides an up-to-date overview of key advances in the relevant technology, with an in-depth examination of the latest research in various home care technologies by experts in the field. The book mainly discusses the results of the Mobilising Advanced Technologies for Care at Home (MATCH) project, co-ordinated by the University of Stirling in Scotland, but work on related projects is also included. The book will be of interest to all researchers and practitioners in the fields of telecare and telehealth, policymakers in these areas, and providers of social and healthcare with an interest in technology.

This book, of numerous references, is an encyclopedia of logic, metaphysics, ethics and theology and represents the history of Indian Philosophy of a particular period. A popular saying credits the author, Jayanta, with the reputation of being a master-scholar of Indian logic. No study of Indian logic can be considered to be complete without having recourse to this work. The main task of the author in this book is to defend the views of Vatsyayana as expressed in his Nyaya-bhasya on the sutras of Gautama against the criticisms offered by the adversaries. He has criticised the views not only of the Buddhists but also of the Grammarian bhartrhari and the Mimamsakas-Kumarila and Prabhakara. his condemnation of the Prabhakaras as the plagiarists who borrowed from the Buddhist show his intimate knowledge both of the Buddhists and the mimamsa ka schools. In his lengthy discussion on the pramanas in this volume, he has refuted the hypothesis of the Bhattas and the prabhakaras. Thus the book provides knowledge not only of the details of the Nyaya School but also of the systems of logic followed by the rival schools.
